We had an amazing three-night stay at Hilltop Whakaipo Estate. Peter and Michelle are superb hosts and made us feel incredibly welcome. The property is spacious and immaculate, with comfortable beds, a fabulous shower, and fast wifi. The farm-sourced breakfasts were delicious, and Michelle even did a load of laundry for us, which was a treat. The highlight was definitely the stunning views from the top of the hill. We loved feeding Molly, Charmaine, and Chantel the friendly deer. We would definitely return if given the opportunity.

The room at Hilltop Whakaipo Estate was cozy and inviting, with a comfortable seating area to relax in. The flat-screen TV with satellite channels provided entertainment, and the private bathroom was clean and well-equipped. The private entrance added a sense of exclusivity, making us feel like VIP guests.

Personally, we didn't particularly enjoy the soundproofing in the room. But hey, some might appreciate the peace and quiet it provides!

We had extremely spacious room with amazing view, appreciated the location, it was amazing in the farm. Climate control, flat-screen television and a microwave were a very nice touch. Location: the hotel was near the lake and surrounding countryside, Huka Falls, Craters of Moon and Rotorua, Turangi, and the Tongariro National Park...

The rooms were well-appointed, with climate control, television and a refrigerator. This accommodation had a central setting on top of the hill with spectacular views all around.

overall wonderful hotel, i came here with my dog. the location was quiet for traveling around taupo, not far from rotorua, turangi, and the tongariro national park, craters of moon and turangi. it also was on a hilltop.

As foreign tourists, we absolutely loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Hilltop Whakaipo Estate. The hosts, Peter and Michelle, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They even invited us to join them on their small farm to experience the morning rounds and feed the sheep and deer. The view of Lake Taupo from the house is stunning, and we enjoyed our delicious kiwi breakfast with a breathtaking backdrop. The room was luxurious and had all the necessary amenities, including a comfortable bed, fluffy towels, and a private entrance. We also enjoyed the company of their adorable black Labs, Bear and Meg. our stay here has been a highlight of our trip to New Zealand.

All in all it's wonderful hotel, we had a wonderful stay here. The room was spotless & large with amazing view and mountain views, for instance. An electric kettle, a refrigerator, and glassware were a huge plus. The property had a central setting on his farm.

We recently stayed at this stunning location for three nights and it was an absolute treat. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and the view from our room was breathtaking. The special touch of feeding the resident deer in the morning was a highlight of our stay. The breakfast was truly amazing with perfect-poached eggs and a delicious coffee. we loved the charming property and its warm and inviting ambience.

Although our stay was enjoyable, we would have appreciated having the room warm upon arrival during the winter months. walking through the wet grass to get to our room could have been made easier with some paved walkways.

The rural setting on a mountaintop was definitely a highlight, with eye-catching views of the surrounding country and its wildlife. The farm tour was informative and refreshing, a good way to explore the area. The room was well-decorated and clean, with an equally tidy bathroom and the necessary facilities.

I found the breakfast to be too much of the same - nothing new and exciting.

Staying at this hotel was absolutely luxurious, from the exclusive amenities to the amazing service provided by the hosts. The room was spotless, comfy and cozy, with high-quality bedding and plush towels. The farm tour was unforgettable, and we were thrilled to meet the farm animals, including Red deer, Stags, Sheep, Cows. Breakfast was delicious, made with fresh ingredients, and the hosts were friendly, attentive, and respectful of our privacy. The location was peaceful leading to restful nights.

The only minor issue was driving back in the dark along the hilly roads, on our way to the hotel. However, this was a small inconvenience as the view from the room and the excellent experience made up for any tiny discomfort.

We had an amazing value for our money at this hotel. The room was clean, well-decorated, and had exceptional water pressure in the shower. The location was perfect, situated on top of a mountain with breathtaking views. The staff treated us like family, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay.

The food for breakfast could have been more diverse to cater to different tastes.

We stayed in a spacious 2-bedroom apartment with stunning views of the mountains. The beds were really comfortable and we loved the matching bed linens and duvets. They had plenty of fluffy and soft towels too! Although the hotel was located on a hilltop, it was only a short drive to shops and restaurants. The hosts were excellent, making sure our stay was remarkable.

To be honest, there was nothing really to dislike about our stay. Everything was nearly perfect.

We had an amazing stay at a hotel on the hilltop that comes with breathtaking views. The hotel facilities were very clean, and we were fortunate to have some morning tour around the farm. The staff was very friendly and served a delicious breakfast.
